He told him to go to the man and ask for as much tobacco as would go from the top of his little toe to the top of his little finger on the right side. So the man agreed. Dan said, "That's a bargain and I am a witness." The shopkeeper got a very thin roll of tobacco and started to measure it. But the man said "The top of my toe is beyond in Ireland in the County Mayo." So he had to give him as much tobacco as would reach to Ireland and the shopkeeper spent as much money as would buy hundreds of pigs.
- Once there was a man who had a servant-boy. He sent him to the fair to sell a cow. He sold her to another man and he took him into a public house where there was a number of men. There was a robber amongst them. And he watched the man putting the money in his pocket. The robber said to himself "That money shall be mine."
