  1. Clipping of the "Multeen" (Game)
    Twelve or thirteen youths used to sit in a ring in the middle of the floor. They used to hold a grip on each others' arms so that no one could escape from the company.
    Two fellows used to start with sticks (crossed to represent shears) to clip, by the way, the 'wool' off the first boy's head. Then they used to spill a solution of salt and water on the boy's head. (Sometimes, they used to put soot thro' the water).
    The same operation was performed on the head of each youth in the ring, however unwilling he might be.
