  1. About ninety years ago, a man named Tom Connor, a native of this parish, dreamt that there was a large crock of gold buried under an old byre beside his own house. He dreamt that there was a little man minding the gold. For three nights in succession he had the same dream. He determined to dig for the gold. Getting a spade, he started to dig and laboured very hard for one day. However, he was rewarded for his toil for, at nightfall, he came upon the pot of gold.
The little man was sitting on the top of it and asked Tom what he wanted. Tom told him of his dream. The little man get very angry but Tom slew him with a hatchet. In an ecstasy, Tom proceeded homewards with his treasure.
