  1. Leitrim sons and daughters your attention now I call, from the high clad hills of Ballinamore to Breffni ancient halls, No other place in Ireland with scenery can compair, we have got bad publication and no grants divided fair.
    Lake Allen in the centre with its scenery is grand. It’s wooded shores and winding sides and silvery coloured sand.
    We have coal mines all through Leitrim and will for ever more.
    The more her sons are cutting coal on many a foreign shore.
    Many a man has perished and in his grave is laid.
    Just all for the want of Capital to come to our aid. In the high hills of Sheemore there are breeze and fire clay.
    There is iron ore and iron stone in the hills of Creevalee.
    The brick works at Spencer Harbour some fifty years ago, was a flourishing industry as all our people know.
