    There is a spot beside Drumkeerin,
    That to me is most endearing,
    The sound I think I am hearing,
    Fond memories to recall;
    Of the days I used to wander,
    Through hill's and fences yonder,
    As each moment I grew fonder,
    Of the dear old water fall.
    II
    The school house in the hallow,
    And the master's voice so mellow,
    Told us how he'd follow,
    If we touched the water fall,
    When twelve o'clock was sounded,
    To the road we quickly bounded,
    The black gate we quickly rounded,
    And we ran without a fall.

    The lunch we soon dejected,
    While in the field we rested,
    After we devested, (we devested)
    We swam the water fall;

    Where the flaggons green are growing,
