  2. Long ago the people used to wear wooden shoes called "clogs". The soles were made from Alder or Elm tree. The goat's skin was fastened to wooden soles, holed and laced. The people made them clogs themselves. Shoemakers in the locality were Patrick and Shean Travers Derrinvona, Frank Blake Drumkeerin a native speaker
