  1. The corn mill in Kilnagarn used to be in Kiladiskert long ago. It was worked by water. The wheel was like a cart wheel and on the outside of each spoke was a box and the force of the water going into the boxes brought the wheel round. There was a belt attached to the wheel this worked the stone quern which ground the corn. A white sheet was held and when it was full it was put into bags. The people who had no money used to leave meal.
    It was built and constructed by Roger O'Donnell.
    It is about seventy years since is was last used.

    The mill I have heard most of is Léim Uí Cheallaigh...

    The mill I have heard most of is Leim-Uí-Caillaig mill. This mill was in Cill Fearga. It was on my grand father's land. My grand-father had always twelve stacks of corn. This corn he brought yearly to the mill and he got ten or twelve bags of oat meal. This meal was his principal food. The miller charged one shilling and six pence for every
