  1. San "Innis-maghráth ", oilean seadh é, atá suidhte san loch san áit a ritheas an t-Sionnán isteach ann. Tá sean fhothrach ann, san am fadó chuir Naomh Beoigh ar bun an céád seipéal a bhí san bparoiste ar an oilean seo
Sin é an fáth a glaodtar, "Innis-maghráth" ar an bparóiste seo. Bhí sean reilg san oileán seo freisin. Deirtear nuair a bhíodh socraid ann fadó go dtagad leach aníos ó thóin an locha agus go cuirtí an comhra uirthí agus go dtréigeadh an leacht go dtí an oileán gan duine gan stiuradh agus go dtagadh na daoine i na dhiad í mbádaibh. Nuair a bhíodh an uaigh dúnta agus na daoine ar an mbothar abhaile go n-iompuigheadh an leach agus go dtéigheadh sí síos go hóin na locha arís go dtí an céad socraid eile.
In November, 1937 Patrick Foley, Ross, found a wooden oak plank on the bed of the lake about twenty yards on the west side of Innishmagrath Island. It was sunk in the sand with the half of it faced upwards and the half that was faced downwards was planed flat like a table and the shape of a coffin cut into it. It is the bier on which they brought the coffins to Innis Island.
