  1. Hidden Treasure
    It is said that there is a pot of gold in a small lake on the top of Benbo mountain in the parish of Dromahair in the county of Leitrim. It was a man who possessed this treasure. One night a crows of foreign people came to raid him. So he fled with the gold and the raiders followed him. Just as he was approaching this lake he saw that the pursuers were close at hand and he knew that if he went any farther they would overtake him and take the gold from him. So when he was passing this lake he threw the pot of gold into it. He was just dropping the gold into the lake when they overtook him and killed him. This news spread all over the country and many people came to search for the treasure. They drained the lake dry
