    (continued from previous page)
    musical sound
The thrushes whose lays from their lofty pine station
Proclaim to the world their songs of renown.
At night when I silently rest on my pillow
I'd awake to well - lonely sound of the cuckoo
Her notes so melodious from the top of a willow
Forsaking the woods to my cottage she flew
Bonet flows through Lough Gill by dividing its water
It torrents to Sligo it rolls to the sea
Tradition accents that a mermaids daughter
