  1. The River Bonet.
I love the blue Bonet its water so clear,
That sparkles and shines in the cool morning air.
In the country called Eire tis second to none.
With its blue waters rippling beneath the red sun.
    2.
In the cool shades of evening in the days long gone by,
Twas a pleasure to watch the blue waves rolling by.
With the great salmon leaping high into the air.
And the little fish darting away from his lair.
    3.
Oh Bonet how dear are those memories to me,
As I labour and pine in a land o'er the sea.
But whenever I go, or where ever I roam I'll remember the Bonet near.
