    On May Eve night one of the games that are played is the plucking of the yarrow.

    On May eve night of the games that are played is the plucking of the yarrow. At twelve o'clock the yarrow is plucked and brought into the house. Put it under your pillow and sleep on it and you will see the person that you are to be married to. You are not to speak after you pluck it. While the yarrow is being plucked the following rhyme is said:,
    ''Good morrow, good yarrow,
    Trice good morrow to thee,
    Grant this night , my true love
    I may see;
    The colour of his hair
    The clothes that he'll wear,
    And the words that he'll say,
    When he comes to court me'
