    Mr McDermot of Glenfarne is said to have been burned to death and his house also.

    Mr MC Dermot of Glenfarne is said to have been burned to death and his house also. Nobody knows how how he was burned but it is said that he used to have a candle lit at night and the bed clothes took fire and nothing was found but his bones. It happened in the year 1937.

    There was a great 'flu in the year 1921.

    There was a great flu in the year 1921. It was caused by the damp houses. and no fires because it was a bad year, and the people had no turf. A lot of people died with it.
