    My grandmother told me this story. It was told to her when a child by her own grandparents. They lived in a place called Emlafad in Co. Sligo. There was supposed to be a lot of wildcats in the district and the people were very much afraid especially where there were children. In those days glass was very little used in farm houses The people used screens made of rods. Her grandfather was sitting resting one evening at the kitchen fire and the child was in the
