    A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
    Better late then never.
    A stitch in time saves mine.
    When a neighbors house is on fire look out for your own
    Your pocket is your friend.

    A green Christmas makes a fat graveyard.
    Candlemas day bright and clear brings forth two winters that same year.
    On Candlemas day throw 1/2 the candle away.
    On St.Patricks day throw the candle and candlestick away.
    If March comes in like a lamb it goes like a lion. If March comes in like a lion it goes like a lamb.
    May chickens grow never full size.
    March wind and April showers bring forth
    May flowers.
    Hunger is good kitchen.
    Hills are green far away.
    When the cat is away the mice can play,
    The truth is often bitter.
    A sheep is a lamb far away.
