  1. There is a poor man who goes from house to house begging alms. He is known as red Mickeys James. People say he got that name as his fathers name was Micky and had a red whisker. His right name is James Reynolds. He comes always about Easter and asks for eggs. He is big and tall man with a chin whisker down to hes knees. People say the reason he lets his whisker grow is that when he comes into a house the people would give him something to get rid of him. He sleeps in a byre or sometimes at a haystack.
