  1. There lived in the townland of Buckhill a man named John Feeney who died in the year 1936. He was one of the best mowers to be found in that part of the country. His days work was two acres and a half of meadow. He was able to do that any day he went out starting at eight in the evening. He was able to continue this for many weeks. He was also a great cutter of corn with a hook. He was able to cut 110 stocks 12 sheaves in each stock and three handfulls in each sheaf.
