  1. About 50 years ago there lived a man named James Blarke of Gurtenmore who is now in America. He was well able to carry five carts of hay.
    One day he was in Kilarguc and a man made a bet of a pint of whiskey with him that he would not carry five and a half cart. Weight up two flight of stairs. He got it on his back and went up the stairs quite easily and won his bet.
    His brother John is able to lift two cart in his teeth.
