  1. Once upon a time my mothers grandmother went to the bog for a creel of turf. When she had the truf filled into the creel and about to start home a little woman came up to her and hoised the creel of turf on her my mothers grandmothers grandmother asked her what is the reason that you have all the holes in your apron. The woman answered a she cried I have a debt to pay and I cannot get into heaven until I have it paid I have a debt to pay and i cannot get into heaven until I have it paid and every tear I cry puts a hole in my apron. Will you please pay it for me my mothers grandmother answered and said she would. The little woman went away very thankful and told her that she would never want for anything while she lived. She paid the debt and never saw the little woman more.
