- Mr Wilson who is now aged 82 years is he teller of this story . In "Cnoc na Seangan" (the Hill of the Pismires) on the lands of Mr. May, foot and mouth disease broke out. The may's cured it themselves- about 80 years ago- by washing the feet and mouth ,with some mixture (not known what it was)
Then they applied a mixture of oatmeal and salt to the feet and mouth . In this they cured it.- Collector
