    Signs of good weather.
A circle around the moon is a sign of storm. A circle close to the moon foretells a storm soon, a circle far out from the moon, a storm far off.
The cat lying near the fire is a sign of storm.
The sheep and goats come down from the mountain before storm.
There are four corners on my bed
There are four angels at my head
One to watch, one to pray
and two to bear my soul away
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that was crucified I lay me down to rest. Bless me, O Lord, defend and govern me and after this short and miserable pilgrimage bring me to life everlasting. Amen.
These prayers were said when going to bed.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Bless me on this bed
