  1. Farewell to Melvins tranquil shores
    Where I so often strayed
In painsiv thought ore break and breeze or sauntered in the shade
Where i strove my best and joyous mood to catch the trout and eel
I know when afar in distant land how lonely I must feel
No more to tread those verdant paths
No more to see or hear the thrush in grove beyond the lake pour forth her note so clear
Her fondly gaze on each dear scene
The scenes that well I knew
For I must farewell to all around
    Melvins Waters blue.
How pleasant on a summers day on Carrick Riellry fair
To sit and chat on days gone by
    and breath the bracing air
