    which was the boundary dividing the territories of O Ruarc and O Donnell.
    After several nights the watchers were rewarded by seeing a man named O Boyle, whom they suspected of being a spy, hurrying on his way to Ballyshannon. They at once seized him and killed him there and then and threw his body in the stream flowing through the hollow.
    A large stone in the bed of the stream is shown with a red mark or spot in it and this spot is said to be caused by the blood of O Boyle.
