  1. Once upon a time there was a man and wife out on a ship and one of the ropes got cut. The man said that this was the but of a knife. The wife said that it was a scissors.
    "It was a knife,"said he.
    "It was a scissor" said she.
    "If you say that again I will throw you out" said he.
    "It was a scissors" was her reply.
    Out he threw her into the water. When she was sinking he asked her again what it was but she was not able to talk so she put up her hand and cut like scissors. Then she disappeared and was drowned.
