    Cashel Casragh and it is supposed that mass was celebrated there in olden times.
    In the townland of Drumcashel there is a hill called Hughey's Hill because it belonged to a man named Hughey Gilroy.
    Another field is called Feely's garden because it belonged to a man named Feely.
    There is the ruin of an old house on a hill near where the late Pat Mc Gloin lived. It is still called Teach an Bhollaigh and it is said to be the ruin of an old hedge school.
    Closh is the name of a hollow in Machaire Mór.
    Log an ras(?) is a hill at the bottom of the brae.
    Pioca Dáth is a spike of rock in Machaire Mór.
    Gracey's Pipe is so called because a shoemaker lived there long ago.
    Fearawans and the Gamtucs are two pieces of rock in Machaire Mór.
    The malt house is a place between two rocks where poitín was made long ago.
    The Tiompáns are the rocks facing the school.
