  1. There is an old building down in Middle Street, Galway. It belonged to the Nuns of a French Order. there is a very old story about this Nunnery.
    The Story.
    "There was once a soldier and he fell into a trap laid in the grounds of the Convent. The traps were set by the Nuns to capture Cromwellian soldiers."
    "This soldier shouted for help and one of the Nuns' heard him. She helped him out and made him promise her that he would not come their grounds' again."
