    Old Customs
    It is not right to go out of the house without leaving your hand on the churn-dash when one is churning.
    When one is sending out milk to the neighbours house it is right to put three drops of water in it.
    When you bring out slat you should not bring it in again.
    On the first of May it is not right to bring out fire or ashes or to give out money.
    It is right to change into a new house on Friday.
    If you give away a clocking hen they say that the luck of the hens are gone.
    When people are washing their feet at night they do
