Ballyglunin Co GalwayGot from my father Mr Michael Nicholson - When people are going sowing potatoes. They plough the land if it is in drills they are sowing them. If it is lea land they turn the foideen that is to mark the ridge. In drills they plough it harrow it and then they make the drills with a double plough. They put farmyard manure in the drills with a cart. They spread it with four prong forks. They spread the gew anny. Then they spread the slits.
