  1. There are seventeen houses in my village. Burn's, Brandley's, Fahy's, Ward's, Kelly's, Dooley's, Donoughue's, Cosgrove's, Lean's, Pat Devanes and John Devanes, Delaney's, Hansberry's, Carty's, Corley's, Finn's and our own house. There was a lot of houses in it that is gone now. Foxes, Lean's, Ward's, Sadville, Connelly's, Ward's, Mrs. Brandley, Wade, Dooley, Mrs. Brandley, two houses of Glynn's, Casey, Mohan, Fahy, Cassidy, Brandley, Gerity, Kirwan, Mourne, Myhugh. There are only a few slate houses in our village, Brandley's, Donoughue's, Corley's, Devane's and a bit of Delaney's house. There are walls of old houses to be seen in this village. My grandmother Margaret Fahy's knows Irish and she is able to tell Irish and English stories. She is about seventy five
