    Old Cures
    Sore-throat
    Get salt, warm it in the pan. Put it in flannel and tie it around the throat.
    Head-ache
    Get a cloth and put vinegar in it and it will cure it.
    Measles
    Take warm drinks and stay in the heat. Keep the room darkened because if it was bright it would make your eyes red and they would stay red.
    The C lehen
    The C lehen is a bone gone in the chest that stops the breath. The cure for this is:- Make an oaten cake, heat it and leave it down on your chest. Light three candles, put a glass on top of the candles. It will quench the candles and the heat will draw out the bone.
    Mumps
    Take warm drinks and stay
