  1. There is said to be a passage under ground going from Garbally school to Killeen's field in Doonane Co Galway in which giants lived long ago.
    Every night they used to come out and kill the neighbours' cattle, and eat them.
    One night a man caught them taking his cattle and he tried to take his cattle from them and they killed him.
    In a few nights time all the neighbours gathered and killed the giants. They ploughed up the field in which the Dún was and ever since it is called Doonane.
