“Once upon a time there were two robbers sitting on a hill.”
Once upon a time there were two robbers sitting on a hill. One of their names was Jack and the other Jim. They saw a man coming along with a sheep. Jim asked Jack would he be able to steal that sheep and he said he would. He had a new pair of boots. He took off one of them and filled it with clay and left it in the way in which the man was to pass. When he came he saw the boot, he said to himself that if he could get the one he would have a good pair of boots. He stuck his stick in the(continues on next page)
