Those in a glasshouse should never throw stones.
Fond pride of dress is sure a very curse, Ere you consult your dress consult your purse.
    Eaten bread is soon forgotten.
If at first you do not succeed try, try, again.
It is better to ware out than to rust out.
Honour and shame from no condition rise, Act for our part there all the honour lies.
An excuse is nearer to a woman than her apron
The more hurry the less speed
Where ignorance is bliss it is folly to be wise.
    Perseverance wins the crown.
The longest way round is the shortest way home.
Don't judge a book by the cover
    Plough deep while sluggards sleep.
Think twice before you speak once.
Wet and windy May fills the barn full of corn and hay.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.
