  1. I play a great number of games every evening. Football, hurling, cricket, handball, Hide and seek, Fox and Geese, Soldiers, Catapults, Slings, Cinderella, Red Lights, Fly Kites, Brigideógs Night, Wrens Day and Halloweens Night.
Football is played with the hands and feet, the ball is very large about ten inches diameter. There are two goal posts at each end of the field and it is the aim of both teams to put the ball between these posts.
This game lasts for an hour on the team with the highest score are the winners.
Hurling is played with hurleys. There are two goal-posts at each end of the field.
The game is played the same as football.
Cricket is played with a cricket bat and a small ball about two inches in diameter and there are two wickets about twenty two yards apart and there is a man standing in front of the wicket with a cricket bat to prevent the ball from hitting the wicket.
