    Bhí Éireannach agus Sasannach i mbothán oidhche. Ní raibh ach leath bhéile bidh idir an bheirt aca le h-aghaidh an bhreicfeasta agus réidhtígheadar go mbéadh sé go léir ag an duine ag a mbéadh an taidhbhreamh a b'fhearr i rith na h-oidhche. Ar maidin dubhairt an Sasannach gur thaidhbhrimh sé féin go raibh sé ar Neamh. "Agus deineadh taidhbhreamh dom-sa" ars'an fear eile, "go bbfansá ann, agus d'itheas an biadh".
