  1. One morning early as my grandfather was going working to Glenabain [unsure of 1st letter] his dog followed him and he tried hard to put him home and as he was going over at Mr Gavans [unsure of 1st letter] some thing as big as a horse came before him and crossed the road. The dog ran after it and when he returned he was all torn and his face was bleeding and dirty.
