  1. When the Black and Tans were burning Lyden O'Neill's house one of the Black and Tans was over-come by the smoke and he was nearly suffocated. The Nurse who was Mrs Fintan Kavanagh ran out of her house which was near by and worked like a nailer on him until he gained consciousness. She saved his life undoubtedly. The shows the kindness the Irish people to people no matter how they treat them. Mrs Kavanagh died a few years ago.
