    it. Outside this wall the pilgrims do the rounds, which are fourteen in number. These rounds are done without stopping. Most of the pilgrims go barefoot which is not a very easy thing to do as the place is usually muddy and slippery. There is no definite rule about prayers said while the rounds are being made, but it is the usual custom to repeat the rosary several times.
    When the rounds are completed each one in turn takes a drink of water from the well. Some have great faith in this water for curing all sickness. It is supposed it never heats no matter how long it is left on a fire.
    Several different tales are told about "The Blessed Well" which it now called, but this is the more usual one.
