my time to keep on the calf but as the fog was clearing I could see as I knew it well the river suck the south side of Ballinsloe in front of us.
I felt very sad as the river was sixy feet wide and ten feet deep a this point. The two first horses got clear. I being the third the calf jumped and got over clear. I was delighted and forgot my order not to speak until he would stop. I said in a loud voice blow me but tis the best jump I ever seen for a calf.
At that moment I got a box in the ear tha nocked me off the calf and at daylight I walked up to find myself on the bank of the suck in Roscommon. When I got back home the calf and horses were these but I had to walk back and from that day to this I don't know where these men fairy or live men but they were alive when I was talking to them.
