Linen wheels were made about two miles distant from here in a place called Kiltulla. The man that made the wheels was O'Halloran nicknamed "Larry na dTúirnín". There is still an O'Halloran in Kiltulla the only one left of the family. Máirtinn O'Halloran a son of Larry na dTúirnín was a prominent during the days of the "Land League". he usually rode a white horse and addressed meetings in private and in public all over the county.
