    During the conference the bishop asked Father O'Reilly why he had not seen his letters for some time and a smile went around because the other understood who was writing the letters. Father O'Reilly put a hand in his pocket and took out a well filled purse, and gave it to Bishop Gilhooley and said- "This is the best letter I can write on the matter at present It is believed that this influenced his appointment. He died here at an old age.
