    Warts:- Water found in a hole in a stone should be rubbed on the warts.
    Nerves:- Water-cress to be eaten three times a day.
    Stys:- Ten gooseberry thorns to be pulled, the points of nine of them to be pressed gently against the sty, and the tenth to be thrown away..
    Stomach-trouble:- Three feeds of Indian stiraboul to be taken each day for nine days.
    Boils:- Fresh fat pork to be used as a poultice for three days.
    Sore-throats:- A stockingful of hot salt tied round the neck at night.
    Deafness:- Warm goose grease poured gently into the ear at night.
    Sore Eyes:- Bathe the eyes with cold tea each morning
    Lumps:- Bouglas leaves warmed and applied at night.
    Head-colds:- Salt and hot water to be sipped slowly before going to bed.
