    Proverbs
    A good boot is better than a pound in your pocket.
    The day of the storm is not the day of the scallop.
    Waste not, want not.

    Too much gossip is not good for anybody.
    He that by the plough must thrive, he himself must either lead or drive.
    A man without and wearing good clothes is like a gold ring in a barrow pig's
