    This is how Polshask got its name. It is said that there was a big hole in it, and heather growing out of it, and it got its name from that hole.
    Brierfort.
    It is said that a great fort of briers stood where the village is now situated, and they give it the name of Brierfort.
    Kildaree.
    It is said that two kings lived there one time, and they had
