    In olden times people had three meals a day breakfast which was at eight o' clock and dinner at mid-day and lunch at six o' clock.
    The people used to get up at six o' clock and work at least two hours before having breakfast but the used to take a cup of sweideen which consisted of oat meal mixed with new milk.
    In some places the three meals consisted of potatoes, salt, and buttermilk and sheerins were for breakfast.
    The sheerins were the seeds taken from the oats at the mill and steeped in water for a week.
