    My home district is in the townland of Pollaneyster a small village to the south east of Templetogher or as it is presently known Williamstown in the barony of Ballymoe.
    Where I live there are twelve families and a population of about fifty people.
    Most of the houses are one storey thatched, but there are two two storey slated houses in it.
    Pollanesyter means the hole of the halter, so called because it is said that there was a horse tied to a big sally tree that is in a field owned by Patrick Connaughton, and he strayed away and all the
