About one hundred years ago there were no houses in this district but the town was out in a place called Kilnalag.
There was a big family of the Mc Cormacks and their ancestors the Keavnets who owned a big drapery and the Post Office but whatever misfortune befell them, and they emigrated to Dublin, and the house is standing there vacant.
My village is mentioned in an old song which was made by a man called
