When the robin comes to our doorstep in search of food it is a sure sign of snow.
The blackbird builds his nest in a hedge and he lays four or five eggs. The male is recognized by his yellow beak. The wren builds his nest in an ivied thor or old and ruined wall, the mossy nest so covered in, one scarce can see at all. He lays from seventeen to twenty eggs. The skylark builds his nest among the grass and he lays four or five eggs.
