    He was in an awful rage
    He was just like a cross monkey
    Tied up all in a cage

    When the Jobber found the straw was gone
    To the barrack he did go
    He gave the names of all the boys
    That calls to Meelickroe.

    The Jobber to the barrack
    The guards came by surprise
    They thought they'd met the straw boys and trouble would arise

    It was early next morning
    When Jobber did arise
    And to the little stack
    He did go.
    He pulled on sheaf out of it
    And hit it against the wall
    And from one single sheaf
    A shower of oats did fall.
