  1. There is a holy well in Beaugh, Williamstown, Co. Galway. The people go there on the 29 of June until the 5th of September. One day a woman was going to the bog. When suddenly a beautiful yound [young] woman appeared before her. She did not know her at first but after a while she found out that it was the Blessed Virgen. She got a church built there and it is still as good as ever. The woman's name was Miss Hoban who is still living. There is a few haw-thorn bushes
